| Comfortable and aesthetically pleasing shoes and clogs provide the safest, most efficient conductive path to ground. The standard IEC 61340-5-1 prescribes that the resistance to ground Rg should be between 50KΩ and 100MΩ. When the footwear/floor system is used as the primary means of grounding personnel, the resistance of the combination shall be between 750KΩ and 35MΩ. The electrical resistance must be measured between the operator's hand and a metal plate where he stands with both feet. Wear the new shoes at least 30 minutes before making the first test. For successive tests it is enough 5 minutes. | ||
